Jerzy Pałucki

Jerzy Pałucki (1955-), a diocesan priest in Włocławek, PL, Dean of the Faculty of Theology at the Catholic University of Lublin, Chairman of Latin Patrology at CUL. Rev. Pałucki is Chairman of the Board of Patrologists working for the Commission for the Doctrine of the Faith of the Polish Episcopate. Rev. Jerzy was born on March 26, 1955 in Goszczanów, Poland. He was ordained priest on May 28, 1981 by Bishop Jan Zaręba. Having finished his studies in the history of the Church and after he obtained a doctorate in patrology from the Catholic University of Lublin (1988), Jerzy Pałucki received his Licentiate in Classical and Early Christian Literature from the Papal Salesian University of Rome (1990).

As Professor of patrology Rev. Jerzy published: Dobre bogactwo (Lublin 1992); Św. Ambroży jako duszpasterz w świetle ekshortacji pastoralnych (Lublin 1996). He edited 6 books, e.g.: Tysiąc imion Chrystusa (Lublin 1992); Ewangelizacja w epoce patrystycznej (Lublin 1994); Mistrz i Przyjaciel (Lublin 1997). He published over 60 articles.

Christus – una persona, due natura

The dignity of a person has been the subject of numerous discussions, elaborations and studies. Currently, it seems necessary to present the great contribution of the Church in examining this subject matter. It is especially important to mention the documents of the Second Vatican Council. It has to be noted, however, that the issue of person’s dignity has been addressed by the Church from her very beginnings.
